Medicare Advantage Plans (Part C)
Medicare Advantage plans are Part C Medicare programs. Unlike traditional Medicare Supplements which fill in gaps under Medicare benefits, Medicare Advantage combines your Medicare coverage within a provider network. The insurance carrier takes over your Medicare administration.

Anthem offers three Medicare Advantage plans.
Freedom Blue PPO (MAPD)
Freedom Blue is a regional California Medicare Advantage PPO plan. There are two Freedom Blue Plans:
Plan 1 - $0 premium, $1125 deductible, $3000 annual out-of-pocket maximum
Plan 2 - $50 premium, $600 deductible, $3000 annual out-of-pocket maximum
Senior Secure HMO (MAPD)*
Senior Secure is a Medicare Advantage HMO plan available in selected counties in southern California. Premium depends on county of residence.
SmartValue Fee-For-Service (PFFS)*
SmartValue is a Fee-for-Service plan allowing access to any provider who will accept the plan. It is available in selected counties for 2007.
* available only in selected counties.
