Both I & J Plans can be purchased without prescription drug benefits (earlier version) and the price has been substantially reduced on these two plans with the elimination of the prescription benefit in favor or Part D coverage..

Senior SmartChoice
SmartChoice from Blue Cross CA is a high-deductible Plan F at a significantly lower monthly premium. There are three plan options with the SmartChoice program:
SmartChoice - High deductible Plan F with standard Plan F benefits.
SmartChoice Preferred - High deductible Plan F with standard Plan F benefits plus the following features:
- $5 Office Visit Copay with Unlimited Visits per Year
- Vision Care Benefits through arrangement with VSP
- Medicare approved Chiropractic with $10 Copay
SmartChoice Plus - High Deductible Plan F with standard Plan F benefits and Long-Term Care rider. Plus plan offers a long-term care insurance component with the following benefits:
- 6 Month Rider Waiting Period
- 100-Day Elimination Period
- $1,000 Home Care Deductible
- Daily Benefit Up To $100
- Combined Max Lifetime Benefit Up To $36,500.00
